PECAN PIE BARS 
1 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c. uncooked oatmeal
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs
3/4 c. white corn syrup
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tbsp. all purpose flour

Combine 1 cup flour, oatmeal, and 1/4 cup brown sugar, cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press mixture into a greased 8 inch square pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Beat eggs slightly, add remaining ingredients; blend well. Pour over partially baked crust. Return to oven and bake 25 minutes longer at 350 degrees. Cool at room temperature. Cut into bars. Makes 3 dozen.
