POOR MAN'S STEAK 
3 lbs. ground chuck
1 c. soda cracker crumbs
1 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 can beefy mushroom soup plus 1 c. water added to soup

Mix beef, cracker crumbs, 1 cup water, salt and dry soup mix. Spread 3/4 inch thick in pan or on cookie sheet. Refrigerate until chilled or overnight. Cut into squares, dip in flour and brown in skillet. Place in large roaster or casserole. Pour mushroom soup and water mixture over meat. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Leftovers can be frozen and reheated.
