LIZZIES 
4 c. pecans
1 lb. dates
8 oz. candied cherries
8 oz. candied pineapple
1 c. raisins
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. warm water
3 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves

Mix in very large bowl. Beat butter, sugar, eggs and water in order given. Add flour, spices and soda; mix by hand. Add fruit and pecans to the preceding mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.

These cookies do not rise very much. They don't have to be round when dropped. Just pick up dough and roughly shape. Tastes better if not large. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
