HONEY CRUNCH COOKIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
2 c. Gold Medal all purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. Honey Nut Cheerios cereal
1 c. regular or quick cooking oats
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and eggs in 4 quart bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each ball to 2 1/2 - 2 inches in diameter. bake 6 minutes; rotate cookie sheet half turn. Bake until golden brown, 5 to 6 minutes longer. Cool 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

For Honey Crunch raisins: stir in 1 c. raisins. For Honey Crunch chip cookies: Stir in 6 oz. package semi - sweet chocolate chips (1 cup).

I was looking for a banana cookie recipe and stumbled on this! I have made with coconut like recipe states which is heavenly! I also substituted banana in place of coconut, at least 1 1/2 banana cut into diced cubes. My daughter's birthday surprise party for 25th I made this. She loves bananas! Guests loved the cookie theme instead of cake!
