1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. drained cherries, reserve liquid
1 c. flour
1 egg
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 2 tbsp. water

Mix together sugar and butter. Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees about 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

SAUCE:

1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 c. juice

Cook it until boiling and chill. Serve Cherry Dessert with Sauce and whipped cream.
