FRUIT COCKTAIL DESSERT 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail
1 egg

ORANGE JUICE SAUCE:

1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. orange juice
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. grated orange rind

Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg and juice of fruit cocktail. Mix well and fold in fruit cocktail. Pour batter in a 9"x13" greased pan. Mix 3/4 cup brown sugar and 3/4 cup nut meat and sprinkle on top of batter. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream and top with the Orange Sauce.

ORANGE SAUCE: Bring ingredients to a boil.
