RANCH CRACKERS
4 sleeves premium brand crackers
1 1/2 c canola oil
1 package Ranch party dip
red pepper flakes (optional)

Pour two sleeves of crackers into a gallon plastic bag. Mix canola oil and ranch dip (red pepper flakes if using) in a small bowl. Pour half the oil mixture over the crackers. Zip bag and turn it upside down. Shake until crackers are well coated.

Pour the two remaining sleeves of crackers into the bag and pour the remaining oil mixture over crackers. Zip bag, turn over and over until crackers are coated.

Let sit at least a few hours if not overnight, turning bag every now and then so crackers soak up all of the oil.

With this same recipe in mind, I used a box of the Ritz Flipsides Orignal crackers. and I added one package ranch to only about a half a cup of oil. While it was a lot of ranch it was so good. So the same measurements would probably work with two boxes of Flipsides. AMAZING

This is much easier and faster if you place the crackers in a cake pan. Line the crakers in the pan and poor mixture over the crackers, then turn the crackers every 10 min or so until oil is soaked. Then enjoy!

First off, add the crackers by taking them out of the sleeve and not adding all the salt (1/2 tsp.) at the bottom of the bag. Throw the salt away. Instead of (Ugh!) 1 cup oil, I use 1/2 cup oil instead and add Dried Garlic chunks, ground in mortar & pestle just a bit, then add 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese to the ranch dressing & red pepper 1 tbsp., If it stays very oily, spread on 2 baking sheets and bake at 250°F for 15 min. This gives 1/2 the oil and 90% less salt. Yummy!
