HALF-TIME SPOON ROLLS | |
1 cake yeast or 1 pkg. yeast 1/4 c. lukewarm water 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/3 c. shortening 3/4 c. scalded milk 1/2 c. cold water 1 egg 3 1/2 c. sifted flour Dissolve yeast in the 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Combine sugar, salt, shortening and scalded milk. Add cold water. Blend in egg and yeast. Add sifted flour; mix well. Cover. Let rise in warm place until double. Stir down. Spoon into well greased muffin tins, filling 1/2 full. Let rise about 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. |
