Half Time Spoon Rolls

 Cherie J Palmer (Arizona) says:
Baked in muffin tins and also cookie sheet. In both instances the bottoms of the buns were too well done and some tops were hard. The desired consistency I want is The freshness of store bought tray bins. This recipe is the same one my grandmother used and her buns were always soft and tasty. Any ideas?
