CHERRY COFFEECAKE 
1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Then add flour, baking powder and salt. Spread 1/2 of batter in bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Carefully spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter from spoon over pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
