BACON CHEDDAR SOUFFLE | |
12 slices white bread, trimmed crusts 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled 3 tbsp. frozen chives 4 eggs 2 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Place 6 slices of bread in bottom of a greased 8x12x2-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with half the cheese, bacon and chives. Cover with remaining slices of bread, sprinkle remaining cheese, bacon and chives. Beat together last 4 ingredients and pour over bread slices. Let stand 1/2 hour. Preheat oven to 325°F and bake for 50 minutes. Serves 6. Submitted by: Marion Galvin |
