ICE BOX ROLLS | |
7 c. flour 2 c. luke warm water 2 eggs 1/2 c. sugar, white 1 scant tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. lard Put 1 small cake yeast, 1 tbsp. sugar in 1/4 cup warm water. Let stand until yeast melts. Take your 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon salt, 2 tablespoons lard and mix in your 2 cups luke warm water until dissolved. Add your yeast solution and 2 eggs that have been beaten. Pour all over flour and mix well. Grease the top of the dough and put in ice box over night. Have large pan as dough raises twice in size. Make bread, rolls, coffee cake, donuts or buns and let them raise about twice the bulk. Bake about 10 to 15 minutes at preheated 375 degree oven. |
