OLD FASHIONED MACARONI AND
CHEESE
 
8 oz. pkg. macaroni
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 3/4 c. milk
8 to 10 oz. cheddar or American cheese
Cracker crumbs

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cook macaroni as directed on the package. Melt butter in 1 quart sauce pan. Stir in flour until mixture forms paste. Add milk; cook over medium heat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir until mixture thickens. Add cheese. Remove from heat. Stir until cheese melts. Add macaroni. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle cracker crumbs on top. Bake for 20 minutes.
