CHEESE APPLE PIE 
PASTRY:

1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
3 tbsp. water
1/2 c. sharp cheese

Cut shortening into flour. Add salt and cheese, then water. Spread in pie dish.

FILLING:

2/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. cinnamon
Dash of salt
5 c. apples, sliced

Mix together well and mound on top of pastry. Press down.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
1 c. sharp cheese

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter and cheese. Press on top of filling. Bake at 425 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
