SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES | |
1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Flour 1 c. Wesson oil 1 c. sugar 1 c. molasses 1 c. sour milk (use real sour milk or add 2 tbsp. vinegar into 1 c. milk) Sift soda, salt, spices into 1 cup flour. Mix oil, sugar, molasses, sour milk and the 1 cup of flour (with the soda, salt and spices). Slowly add more flour until you have a soft dough (all together ABOUT 6 1/2 cups flour). Pat out on floured board to about 1/2 inch thick and cut with a floured cookie cutter OR roll dough into balls and slightly flatten with your palm onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
