BIG MAMA'S TEA CAKES 
1 heaping c. sugar
2 eggs
3 tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c butter
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Add alternately dry ingredients with milk/vanilla mixture. Spoon drop, about a tablespoon in size, on slightly greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-13 minutes depending on how large the cakes are.
