PEA SOUP 
Peas, split
Ham bone
Corned beef or ham
Water
Plenty of onions, chopped
Turnip, diced
Carrots, sliced
Potatoes, diced

Soak peas in water overnight. Drain. Put ham bone and corned beef in water. The amount of water depends on how much soup you want. Cook until meat is done. Remove meat. Add onions (the more the better), turnip and carrots. Cook for 20 minutes. Add potatoes and cook until vegetables are tender. I always top with dumplings to cook with soup.
