NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST | |
4 c. flour 2 tsp. salt 2 c. shortening 1 egg 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. vinegar 1/2 c. cold water Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening. Beat egg, add sugar and vinegar to water. Add liquid mixture to flour and mix well. Before using mixture, refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Dough keeps well in refrigerator for several weeks if wrapped in plastic wrap and foil. May also be frozen. |
