NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
6 tbsp. cold water
1 tsp. vinegar

Sift flour and salt. Cut in shortening. Mix egg, water and vinegar into flour mixture. Use a fork and mix until crumbly. Form dough into 5 balls. Refrigerate until ready to use.
