REFRIGERATOR PICKLES 
4 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar, do not dilute
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. mustard
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed or celery salt
1/4 c. salt

Slice cucumbers and onion to fill a gallon jar. Mix sugar, vinegar, spices and salt. Heat until sugar and salt melt. Cool and pour over sliced cucumbers and onions.

Keep in the refrigerator they are good to eat in 2-3 days. You can add more cucumbers and onions as you use them.
