STRAWBERRY PANNA COTTA 
This easy-to-prepare yet elegant dessert will have your guests raving and licking their lips long after it is gone. You MUST USE FRESH GROUND black pepper!

For Cream:

2 tbsp. water
1 1/2 tsp. unflavored gelatin (Knox)
a few drops of vanilla extract
2 cups heavy (whipping) cream
1/2 cup sugar

For Fruit Topping:

1 1/2 pints (approx) ripe strawberries
3 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. FRESH medium grind black pepper

In small bowl dissolve gelatin in water. Set aside.

Whisk cream and vanilla and add to sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer (NOT BOIL). Remove from heat and whisk in the dissolved gelatin.

Divide cream into six ramekins, parfait glasses, etc. Chill at least two hours until set.

Clean and core strawberries. Slice them fairly thin. Mix with vinegar, sugar and FRESH ground pepper. Let sit about 30 minutes and spoon over fully set cream.
