BEEF 'N CHEESE CRESCENT | |
1 lb. ground beef (or ground turkey) 1/4 c. chopped onion 3/4 c. barbecue sauce 6 slices American cheese 2 (8 oz.) cans quick crescent rolls 2 tsp. sesame seeds 4 1/2 oz. jar sliced mushrooms Heat oven to 375 degrees. Brown ground beef, mushrooms, and onion; drain. Stir in barbecue sauce; set aside. Unroll dough into 4 long rectangles on ungreased cookie sheet; overlap long sides. Firmly press to seal. Pat to form 15 x 13 inch rectangle. Spread meat mixture lengthwise in a 4 inch wide strip down center of dough to within 1 inch of ends. Top meat mixture with cheese slices. Fold shorter sides of dough 1 inch over filling. Bring long sides of dough over filling, overlapping edges; pinch edges to seal. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. |
