CHOCOLATE OATMEAL DROPS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. water
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, shortening, water, egg and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until almost no indentation remains when touched; 10-15 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Makes 6 dozen.
