APPLE WALNUT CRISP (MICROWAVE) 
3 lbs. cooking apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
4 tbsp. butter, cut into 1/4" pieces

Peel, core and slice apples into 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Toss with lemon juice to coat. In bowl, mix walnuts and next 5 ingredients. Add butter, blend with finger tips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle crumb mixture over apples. Cook on High for 14 to 16 minutes until apples are tender and topping is crispy. Serve warm.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
