MICROWAVE APPLE WALNUT CRISP | |
3 lb. cooking apples 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 c. flour 1/3 c. packed dark brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. ginger 4 tbsp. butter, cut into 1/4 inch pieces Peel, core and cut apples into 1/2 inch thick slices. Place slices into 1 1/2 qt. baking dish. Toss with lemon juice to coat. In bowl, mix walnuts and next 5 ingredients. Add butter; blend with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples. Cook on high 14 to 16 minutes until apples are tender and topping is crispy. Best served warm. |
