CHOCOLATE - SAUERKRAUT CAKE 
2/3 c. butter
3 eggs
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
2/3 c. sauerkraut, finely chopped

Drain kraut. Cream sugar and butter. Beat eggs and add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add to the above mixture, alternately with 1 cup water. Stir in kraut. Bake in greased 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or more. Do not overbake.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. cocoa
