SPICED PUMPKIN CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin (2 c.)
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c. raisins

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and pumpkin, beat until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Fold into pumpkin mix.

Blend in walnuts or pecans and raisins. Batter will be stiff. Spoon into well greased, lightly floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Loosen sides with spatula. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack. 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. water

Drizzle over top of cake when cooled.
