1 (9-inch) pie crust, unbaked 1 tsp. butter 6 oz. pkg. Alaskan snow crab meat and shrimp 3 oz. precooked shrimp 1 med. sized onion, finely chopped 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese 4 eggs, lightly beaten 1 c. heavy cream Pinch grated nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tsp. parsley Line 9-inch pie plate with pie crust. In skillet, heat butter. Add crabmeat and shrimp and cook for 4 minutes. Remove crabmeat and shrimp and set aside. Add onions and cook for 5 minutes. Cover bottom of pie crust with 1/2 of the crabmeat, shrimp, and onion and 1/2 cup of grated Swiss cheese. In mixing bowl, combine remaining cheese, eggs, cream, nutmeg, salt, pepper, crabmeat, shrimp, and parsley; mix well. Pour over mixture in pie crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking for 15 minutes longer or until custard is well set. Serve hot. |
