LEMON SAUCE FOR BREAD PUDDING 
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
Grated rind of lemon

Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and nutmeg in saucepan. Slowly add the boiling water. Cook until it thickens. Take off stove. Add lemon juice, butter and rind. Serve warm or cold.
