OATMEAL APPLE COOKIES | |
3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 egg 1/4 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. flour 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. peeled, diced apples 3/4 c. raisins (optional & 3/4 c. walnut pieces) 3 c. quick-cooking oats, not instant or old fashioned Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease baking sheet with butter flavor Crisco. Cream butter flavor Crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Stir in fruit and nuts and oats, mix well. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 13 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet. Remove to cooling rack. Makes 2 1/2 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies. |
