ALMOND COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter (butter is great)
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. grated almond paste
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter, sugar and egg and then add the grated almond paste. Add the remaining ingredients. Roll into balls the size you desire. If you would like, a drained cherry on top is nice or add sliced almonds before putting them on cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
