CARAMEL BROWNIES 
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels (about 50)
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, melted
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 9x13-inch pan. Combine first 2 ingredients. Cook over low heat, stir until caramels are melted. Keep warm. Combine rest of ingredients, except chocolate chips. Stir dough by hand until it holds together. Press 1/2 dough into greased pan. Save rest of dough for top. Bake at 350°F for 6 minutes.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on baked crust and spread caramel, crumble remaining dough and sprinkle on top. Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
