MINNESOTA HARVEST BARS 
1/2 c. dates, chopped
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
2 tsp. flour
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2/3 c. pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger

Mix dates and nuts with 2 tsp. flour. Set aside.

Mix butter, sugar, pumpkin and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat thoroughly. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and all of spices. Stir into pumpkin mixture. Fold in dates and nuts. Spread in a greased 8x8x2 inch square pan. Bake 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
