DATE BARS 
2 eggs, beaten slightly
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2 c. dates, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
Powdered sugar

Combine eggs and sugar. Add flour which has been sifted with baking powder and salt. Add nuts, dates and vanilla. Spread in a flat greased pan and bake in slow oven for 20 to 30 minutes. When cool, cut in bars and roll in powdered sugar.
