BAKED FRENCH TOAST
10 slices cinnamon bread (I use Pepperidge Farm)
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter, brown sugar and maple syrup in the bottom of an 11x17-inch pan. Cook until mixture is well-blended and dissolved; about 5 minutes. Put pairs of bread into the mixture. Mix eggs, milk and vanilla; pour over the bread. Let sit 45 minutes or overnight in refrigerator.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Baked French Toast

This is a really easy and delicious recipe, I love the extra step of soaking it overnight, but you can also just let it sit for a couple hours before baking if you don't have time. The flavor of the bread gets super-saturated with all that butter and syrup, and it comes out super moist and tender. I like to serve this with some fresh fruit on the side, and maybe some extra maple syrup for dipping!
