CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES | |
1 c. (2 sticks) soft butter 1 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 2 tbsp. milk 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. uncooked oatmeal, any kind 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts) Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool one minute on cookie sheet, then gently remove to wire rack to cool completely. 5 dozen 2 1/2" cookies. A great teenage treat! |
