RUTH'S COCKTAIL MEATBALLS 
2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 eggs
1/4 c. water
1 c. bread crumbs
1 sm. onion, grated
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Combine the ground beef and next six ingredients in large bowl. Mix lightly but thoroughly.

Then combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar and lemon juice in large sauce pot. Simmer, stirring until sauce is smooth.

Form small meatballs out of the meat mixture. (Wet your hands with cold water to help prevent sticking).

Drop the meatballs into the sauce and simmer for one hour. Serve hot in chafing dish. (Notice you don't have to brown the meatballs, and, if you like to "do ahead" this recipe freezes beautifully.)
