1 c. molasses
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. flour
1 dessert spoon soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg

Beat all together. Then add 1 cup boiling water and beat thoroughly. Bake at 325-350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean.
