GRAHAM STREUSEL CAKE | |
2 c. graham cracker crumbs 3/4 c. chopped nuts 3/4 c. brown sugar 1 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 3/4 c. butter (melted) 1 box yellow cake mix 1 c. water 1/3 c. vegetable oil 3 eggs Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour rectangular pan (13x9). Mix cracker crumbs, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter. Reserve. Beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs on low speed until moistened. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour about 2 1/2 cups batter into pan, sprinkle with about 2 cups reserved crumb mixture. Pour remaining batter in pan, then remaining crumbs. Bake 45-50 minutes or until cake springs back when touched light in center. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze. POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE: Mix 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 tbsp. water. Stir in additional water, 1 tsp. at a time until smooth and desired consistency. |
