GARDEN PASTA 
1 to 2 c. chopped broccoli
5 med. tomatoes, chopped
4 ribs celery, chopped
4 med. carrots, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp. basil
1 c. chicken broth
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 to 2 lb. pasta
4 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, well beaten

Put broccoli, tomatoes, celery, carrots, onion, parsley and chicken broth in a pot and cover tightly. Cook at medium heat, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.

Add basil, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper; cover and cook at medium low for 5 minutes. Add oil and simmer until carrots are tender.

Cook pasta and add vegetable mixture. Quickly stir in Parmesan cheese and egg and serve. Serves 8.
