CHERRY DREAM SQUARES | |
1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus white cake mix 1 1/4 c. rolled oats 1/2 c. butter 1 egg 21 oz. can cherry fruit pie filling 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 pan. In large bowl combine cake mix, 6 tablespoons butter and 1 cup rolled oats. Mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup for topping. To remaining mixture add 1 egg; mix until well blended. Press into greased pan. Spread pie filling over crust. To reserved mixture, in large bowl, add 1/2 cup rolled oats, 2 tablespoons butter, nuts and brown sugar. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Sprinkle over cherry mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. If desired serve with a dollop of Cool Whip. Serves 12. |
