DONNA'S RUM CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix
1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. rum
1/2 c. oil
4 eggs
Chopped nuts, optional

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
1/4-1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. rum
1/4 c. water

Mix above ingredients and pour into a greased tube pan (nuts in the bottom of pan, optional). Bake at 300 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Heat and pour topping over the cake when you take it out. Cool 1/2 hour before flipping the cake out of the pan. Cake will fall somewhat.
