PERFECT CORNBREAD 
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. Crisco
1 c. yellow corn meal

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together. Stir in corn meal, add eggs, milk, and Crisco. Stir until smooth, pour into greased 9 x 9 x 2 pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Prepare pan with 2 tablespoons hot butter.
