DANISH PUFF 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 c. flour
3 eggs
White frosting
Slivered almonds

Cut 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup butter together. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons water over flour mixture and mix. Roll into ball and divide into half.

Pat dough into 2 long strips about 6 inches wide (each on a cookie sheet) and length of the pan.

In saucepan bring 1/2 cup butter. Add 1 cup water to boil. Add flavoring and remove from heat. Add 1 cup flour, all at once, and stir briskly to prevent lumping. When smooth, add eggs, one at a time. Beat until smooth. Divide batter and spread on top of each strip. Spread evenly to edges.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes until crisp and brown. Frost with icing flavored with almond flavoring. Sprinkle with chopped almonds.
