BOOMER'S DANISH PUFFS 
1 c. butter
2 tbsp. cold water
1 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. almond extract
3 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. milk
Slivered almonds

Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water and stir until well blended. Divide dough into halves. Press each half into a 3x12 inch oblong cookie sheet.

Place boiling water and 1/2 cup butter into saucepan; boil and add almond flavoring. Remove from heat; stir in 1 cup flour. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Spread this mixture over each oblong. Bake at 425 degrees for 50 minutes.

Blend confectioners' sugar with 1 tablespoon butter and milk. Frost puffs while still hot; sprinkle with almonds.
