"ESTHER'S" DANISH PUFF 
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. butter

Cut butter into flour. Add water. Mix with fork. Form into 2 balls. Spread on ungreased cookie sheet in 2 strips about 3x12 inch each.

SECOND LAYER:

1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
3 eggs

Bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Quickly beat in flour, to prevent lumping! Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Spread onto each strip. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Let cool and frost. (I use canned frosting.) Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
