KALEAH'S CRANBERRY REFRIGERATOR COOKIES | |
3 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2/3 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 1/4 c. shortening 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped walnuts 2 c. fresh cranberries, chopped Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. With electric mixer at medium speed, gradually add both sugars and shortening. Cream until fluffy, add eggs and vanilla. Beat at high speed until mixed (about 4 minutes), add walnuts. Mix at low speed, then add flour mixture. Blend well. Work in cranberries. With fingers, press in shape into three loaves, 2 inch square. Wrap tightly in wax paper or plastic wrap. Store in refrigerator or freezer. To bake, cut into 3/8 inch thick slices Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Chill and eat. |
