WALNUT COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1 pt. sour cream
2 c. sugar
4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 lb. walnuts

Beat together butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour, baking powder and baking soda together; beat. Add sour cream and beat. Stir in vanilla.

Transfer half of the batter into a greased tube pan. Combine 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, and 1/2 pound walnuts. Evenly spread half of the mixture on the batter in the tube pan; add the remaining batter and top it with remaining mixture.

Bake in a preheated at 350°F oven for 1 hour.
