1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 to 4 apples
1/2 tsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour

Cream sugar and butter. Add rest of ingredients, except apples. Blend well. Slice apples into greased baking dish. Spread mixture over apples. Bake at 350 degrees until apples are tender and crust is brown. Serve with custard sauce.
