HAWAIIAN MEATBALLS 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. bread crumbs
2/3 c. milk
2 eggs
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
1/2 green pepper, cut up
12 maraschino cherries, halved

SAUCE:

2 1/2 c. water
1 chicken bouillon cube
3/4 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. white syrup
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. water
5 tbsp. cornstarch

To make Sauce: Heat first 7 ingredients together. Mix the 1/2 cup water and cornstarch and stir into the hot liquid; cook until thickened. Keep warm.

For Meatballs: Mix first 7 ingredients and form into small balls, makes about 50. Brown in frying pan. Put browned meatballs, pineapple, pepper, and cherries in a casserole and pour sauce over. Cover and bake 25 to 30 minutes in 325 degree oven. Serve with rice for main dish or as part of buffet.
